Donald Trump Banning Porn – August 2016 Update

PornPics blog

It’s been nearly three years since the President of the United States, Donald Trump, vowed to crack down on pornography in August of 2016.  His claim surely helped with the republican party.  The far right, a base Trump gets massive support from, doesn’t speak highly of the profession.  What irony. Some of the biggest swing states that swung the Trump election watch the most porn on PornHub.  Everyone watches porn. We know that from looking at statistics across America. Some just aren’t open about it.  Some people like to lie. Some people need to lie.

Regardless of where people sit politically, Trump’s vow came several months before his election.  It was a close and controversial campaign. Trump didn’t win the popular vote. He won the electoral college.  A promise of a porn ban certainly could have swung some of those voters on the fence. In what can be an opiate oriented society that is influenced by a bombardment of propaganda based digital media, it almost certainly did.

We all know how this story ends now.  There is virtually no chance Trump bans porn.  Here’s why.

Stormy Daniels

Since Trump’s election numerous scandals have taken hold of the executive office of the United States.  One of the most notable news stories to hit the oval office of the USA was and still is Stormy Daniels.

In a story that broke in January of 2018, it was leaked and lated confirmed that Donald Trump participated in sexual relations with Brazzers pornstar Stormy Daniels.  Daniels was paid $130,000 as hush money in 2016, the same year Trump made his porn ban promise, for an affair she had with the then powerful businessman.  It sure seems that Trump was a fan of the business back then.

Trump’s Finances

The scandal has changed the way people see the president.  He has successfully used the economy as a deflection point from any wrongdoing he has ever participated in during and before his term.  That same economy is having an unknown impact on Trump’s personal finances. We still haven’t seen the man’s tax returns.  Lately his rhetoric suggests massive market manipulation and possible personal gain.  We’ll never know.

The government has no personal ledger of finances submitted by Trump’s estate.  With cryptocurrency, nonprofits no longer having to file campaign contribution details, and international accounts, no one really has any idea what Trump is doing financially.  He could even have his money in porn. We really don’t know anything about the man. He’s the first president in the history of the Union to be so veiled.

The Economy and Nuclear Treaties

Lately the economy and Nuclear Treaties have crowded an already charged political landscape.  A trade war with China is on and the Yuan has been devalued to a level it hasn’t seen since the 2008 recession.  By devaluing currency, the Chinese have essentially dodged tariffs that have been lobbied their way by the Trump administration.  Again, regardless of your opinion, the situation is volatile.

The US just revoked a Nuclear arms treaty with the Russians.  The Russians just launched a nuke that killed 7 of its own scientists.  It raised the radiation levels in the atmosphere.  Most see the reason for the revoked treaty to be the strategization of a new treaty between the US and Russia (the only two nations in the world with over 1,000 warheads, both have over 3,000).  In reality the US likely wanted leverage over the Chinese.

Regardless, how the heck does any of this lead to porn?  The answer: it doesn’t. We have much bigger world problems on our hands.

Gun Control

Porn hasn’t gotten out of control during this presidency.  Gun control has been a much hotter topic. We’d like to thank Russel Howard for these stats.  Did you know that you can legally brandish a firearm in Georgia as a blind person?  Did you know that there are more mass shootings in the United States than days in the year?

In an adderall scene out of my college days, Trump mistakenly named Toledo instead of Dayton in commiseration to a two mass shooting day.  This happened just earlier this month.

While missing the mark on porn is fine, we find this much more distasteful.  People don’t often die in the porn industry. They simply enjoy themselves on film for money.  It’s a far different rhetorical story in gun control.

Conclusions

It’s safe to say that Donald Trump has missed on more than one of his campaign promises.  A much bigger and more volatile world is on our hands. While its been an eventful three years, it hasn’t been an eventful period for the porn industry.  Stormy Daniels is really the only one who has seriously gained or lost during this period.

This was one campaign promise we were happy to see Trump ignore.  We have Stormy Daniels to thank. We also have a much stranger and more dangerous world.  Take the good with the bad.

Long live our freedom to watch porn worldwide.  After all, we know Donald is a consumer of the product, so to speak.
